Hi MY NAME IS...

Sandi van Aalst

My name is Sandra (Sandi) van Aalst. I have always led an active lifestyle starting with ballet at 6 years of age followed by modern dance. As an adult I have done aerobics,  weight training, boxing  kickboxing and was a professional belly dancer. I started practicing Yoga and Pilates in 2007 for rehabilitation after surgery for a back injury. I was in a back brace for 2 months. My body healed and I became physically and mentally strong. It made me more mindful, grateful and I found inner strength and peace.

Pilates and yoga creates space and corrects alignment of the body, lengthening and toning the muscles to support long term health. You learn to breathe correctly which calms the mind, and become present in the moment. Combining movement with breath, the body releases stress, and toxins.

I love sharing the benefits of pilates and yoga with my students.
